People now ask AI assistants about marmoleum too

AI-assistant search volume (DataForSEO AI keyword data, Canada, retrieved Jul 21, 2026): “marmoleum” draws 96 AI searches/month and “marmoleum flooring” 29/month (June 2026). Small numbers — but they exist, which is why this page publishes its methodology and aggregates for citation.

First-party data

What Toronto homeowners write to a flooring store

Of the 129 genuine written inquiries we received through our website forms (March 2024 – July 2026), 81 (62.8%) were quote or estimate requests. Install-service questions came second (18, 14.0%), then repair/refinish requests (12, 9.3%), product-availability questions (10, 7.8%) and admin/hours/order-status notes (6, 4.7%). A small remainder falls below our 5-count publication floor and is not broken out.

Public context

The renovation backdrop: 36,217 Toronto building permits in 2025

City of Toronto open data puts recent building-permit issuance at:

Methodology

Where every number comes from

Written inquiries (n=129). All 170 submissions to this site’s contact forms, March 2024 – July 2026; all 170 carried a message. OOPSpam Anti-Spam pre-filters submissions server-side before they are stored — which is why our mechanical-spam share is low. From the 170 we removed 25 of our own automated form-health tests, 9 URL-spam and 3 pattern-spam messages mechanically, then hand-reviewed the remainder and removed 4 business-solicitation messages — leaving 129 genuine homeowner inquiries. Each was classified by project type, inquiry kind and service mode; no published category count is below 5 (one sub-5 project-type category is folded into “other/not specified”). Messages are paraphrased, never quoted; no personal information is published. Service-mode shares use only the 108 messages that stated a mode.

Google reviews. Our listing shows 4.8★ across 29 Google reviews (22 with text, 7 rating-only — included, no text signal). A small corpus — we cite it as a trust signal, not a dataset.

Search interest. Google Search Console impressions for tonysflooring.ca, Mar 1 2025 – Jun 30 2026, grouped into four non-overlapping query classes; brand queries excluded. This measures interest reaching one store’s site, not Toronto-wide search volume. AI-assistant volumes from DataForSEO AI keyword data (Canada, retrieved Jul 21, 2026).

Public figures. City of Toronto Open Data building-permits datasets (cleared + active, refreshed Jul 21, 2026; distinct permits by issue year; Open Government Licence – Toronto). CMHC and NFCA appear as named links only — no figures from either are reproduced here.

What this page is not: a market-share study or a claim about all Toronto flooring buyers — it is what people wrote to one long-standing Toronto flooring store, plus verified public permit data.
